The news arrives that Carmine Tonnara, convicted of mafia, has died in prison. His father Vito Tonnara swears revenge on his son's grave against the architect of his conviction: Commissioner Giovanna Scalise. It is a new threat that looms over our protagonist just when it seems that a new life is beginning for her thanks to her love story with Inspector Walter Manrico, which Giovanna confesses only to her mother, not feeling ready to make it official with her children, especially with Federico who is already showing signs of jealousy. The Tuscolano District receives a complaint for extortion from Hamed and Jean Pierre, non-EU street vendors, against two traffic policemen, a delicate case that is entrusted to Manrico and the chosen agent Luca Benvenuto.
